Shock absorbers should be inspected on a regular basis and usually last three years or 50,000–100,000 kilometers. They should be changed right away if they are damaged (such as by a bent shaft or oil leaks). Steer clear of potholes, bumpy roads, and overloading the car to prolong its lifespan. Drive for 300–500 kilometers on smooth roads after changing your shock absorbers to give them time to settle properly. Have them examined by a specialist if you are uncertain about their condition.
